ILLUSION OF WHOLENESS
Broken
All of it
I knew it was fragile
So brittle it got shattered.
Then Scattered
All around like it meant nothing,
Thrown out like a disease
Pieces
Broken pieces
One, two, three
Different shapes
All piled up along what was meant to last eternity
I can't. I couldn't count them.
They are laying everywhere
My eyes trying to join them
I couldn't picture it all
It's as if it went away with what was.
That which was whole wasn't
Illusions?
Oh son of Earth and of Starry Heaven.
Are you thirsty? You asked?
Yes! You know that.
Give me something to drink from your overflowing cup of resilience.
Or is it wisdom?
I dread to stand and cause a storm.
But till then,
Take this misery away
Far into the dust of oblivion.
