SOMETIMES

I want to just go away,

To travel far,

To hug the clouds at the edge of the world.

Away from all this misery,

This unending cycle of torture.

This unworthy world.

That each time I tried to live,

It stole away the moment.

I want to jump.

Jump high and never come back.

Fly across the seven seas

Maybe swim.

And land my soul wherever feels fit.

But not in this heartless world,

With it's snaring claws,

And it's mouth wide enough,

To gulp me away,

To rub off all that is of me.

But they told me to wait,

That these are seasons.

Have I waited?

I'm going to sip this glass away,

The only truth I know.

That it's a cold world we live in.
