FOR EVERY DREAMER, A DREAM!

Image
Dear universe, Many a times I'd practice on how to say hello before receiving your calls but still feel like it's not enough lines to say what you really mean. Sometimes our skins touch and it is almost electric.Like a chemistry gone wrong. Then our eyes lock in prison and it's as if our brain cells are screaming " freedom for the village boy" residing in wilderness. There are days only the stars heard my heartbeats while the moon saw my naked eyes in silence and defeat. Guess who never got tired of dressing the shadows of smile. Remember how I'd bother you while talking about knitting our insecurities and bad past? I am a selfish man, umpteenth time I have requested for my own grace before remembering friends. I wonder how many people cry over not getting the ones they wanted but still ended up with the ones they deserved. Maybe the spaces between our fingers don't perfectly fit in, I still know you'd see others in ways you are not able to see me.  F...

FORLORN PLACES

Dear worrying self, I know I'm not perfect.  I have flaws. Too many flaws, Sometimes I'd probably need more attention, Other times I'd want no affection. And most of the times I'd just need a hug and a shoulder to cry on. I'm probably not the kind of man you want in your life. Maybe I'm too troublesome and my life's chaotic. Maybe along the way you'll get tired of my depressed self. Maybe you'll get irritated when my anxiety kicks in. I don't want you to promise that you'll always be there. But I want assurance that you'll not only be around on my happy days. I wanna smile genuinely past my dull expression just because you are there to cheer me up. I know probably this piece doesn't make any sense. Maybe it's cause there's a veil of waterworks covering my vision, Or maybe it's the heaviness I feel in my chest that I desperately want to offload, Or probably is the fact that I wanna tell you a lot of things ...

DO YOU TRUST ME?

Hey,  I know of a place  Hidden from all these nosy faces Away from this apartment This mixed trend of uncultured stereo playing That I can't seem to understand Of what music really pleases the soul But who am I to judge I keep playing  Can't seem to get enough of it This poisonous craft  So I'm a slave now? The randomness of it is intoxicating It called me. I couldn't say no.  Do you think I'm wrong? Anyway,  Hold on to my hands  I'm full of unseen mystery.  Don't be scared. The world is already dead you know. Do you trust me?   @art_of_heart

ABYSS

I'm still here, Waiting by the river side. It's almost drying up, But I found a spot along the banks. A rock that beneath water spurts. It's little but trust me, I haven't gone thirsty since. Seasons have come, Some were wet, Others were dry So much dry I saw them giving up I tried to stretch my hands, But I couldn't reach them, They dropped down in-front of me. With their eyes staring right into my face Full of anger and pain. I stared back! Deeply.  I tried to search for their faces, But it was too bright, No, too dark. I saw nothing.  It stole everything But the water still flows. Maybe it's me. The Abyss  @art_of_heart

SOMETIMES

Image
I want to just go away, To travel far, To hug the clouds at the edge of the world.  Away from all this misery, This unending cycle of torture. This unworthy world. That each time I tried to live, It stole away the moment. I want to jump. Jump high and never come back. Fly across the seven seas Maybe swim.  And land my soul wherever feels fit. But not in this heartless world, With it's snaring claws, And it's mouth wide enough, To gulp me away, To rub off all that is of me. But they told me to wait, That these are seasons. Have I waited?  I'm going to sip this glass away, The only truth I know.  That it's a cold world we live in.  @art_of_heart

I KNOW I'M WRONG

Huh, Does it bother you? Like, why do we think we are always the smartest? That what we know all is to know And what they know is all a lie  And that it's our responsibility to "help them"   See, Knowledge is a twin to ignorance. Tell me how many times you said you knew, And you knew you didn't. Ooh prideful self. Ain't you tired.  The empire has given birth to its intellect Its fare share of utter slavery. Dressed in coats of honor.  That we need no knowing more.  Damn it! @art_of_heart
