DARK LIGHT

It is written, in the book of Job.10.22 that "A land as dark as darkness itself, As the shadow of death, without any order, Where even the light is like darkness."

To him he saw nothing pleasant again about his life. He saw no light, no meaning, no worthness in the  wide open and extensive world that he had not yet discovered. He was dying every day!

Sam was without his biological mother and had been fighting that reality for a year now.

He had stopped by the shopping center, 5blocks away from his apartment. He parked his Toyota-made saloon car beside a yellow sodium-vapor light stand (It's the only thing that was left of his mother's?), he wanted to buy something for supper, But?

There was a woman, (she seemed to be in her early forties in age) standing beside the entrance of the store that he wanted to go in. All his attention was on her. He was trying to create a clown recognition of his mom but could only see one side of her face. And suddenly, just suddenly! he gasped in pain and agony, mom! He whispered deep down his broken heart. She had long blow-dried black hair with a dark ribbon just like his mother's, a nose that resembled his mother's and even her skin complexion and physical height was the same to his mom's.

Unaware that she was being watched, the woman took out her phone and lifted it high above her head to take a selfie. Without success Sam had tried to break his mom of that habit, he saw it so out fashioned.

Now as he watched this woman, her resemblance to his mother seemed more than just a mere coincidence. His mouth went dry and his throat sour, his heart thudded really hard. Vivid pictures of his mother were all over his head, crisscrossing each other.

He still had not adjusted to the fact that his mother was dead or just maybe he never wanted or tried to adjust to it!

The fantasy of his mom still being alive emerged from his dark memory. Maybe... Maybe this woman was actually his mother. Why Not? The more he considered this mental damaging ideology, the less crazy it sounded. After all, she had never seen his mom's body!
